Q. Who are Ephraim and Manasseh in Bible Prophecy?

A. It probably would have been easier to just accept that Ephraim (America) is greater than Manasseh (Britain) and leave it at that, but since you quoted from Genesis 48 I’ll address your specific query and deal with that.

America is magnitudes greater and more powerful than Britain today regardless of how their respective history is viewed. In fact, the whole world knows that America is the mightiest nation on earth and the only super-power. What Jacob was saying concerned prophecy ‘for days to come’ (Gen 49:1) – and this would have been better rendered ‘for the last days’ because the prophecies that follow are for the last days – and these prophecies are very explicit.

Under the inspiration of God, Jacob elevated the sons of Joseph over his brothers, and the head of the Tribe of Joseph was to be prince among his brothers. Gen 49:22-26 "Joseph is a fruitful vine, a fruitful vine near a spring, whose branches climb over a wall." This is the verse that identifies Joseph as the House of Israel. (Isa 5:7 "The vineyard of the LORD Almighty is the House of Israel, and the men of Judah are the garden of his delight.")

Gen 49:23 "With bitterness archers attacked him; they shot at him with hostility. ²⁴ But his bow remained steady, his strong arms stayed limber, because of the hand of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel, ²⁵ because of your father's God, who helps you, because of the Almighty, who blesses you with blessings of the heavens above, blessings of the deep that lies below, blessings of the breast and womb (that is, astounding population growth that dwarfs Britain, again showing who is the greater). ²⁶ Your father's blessings are greater than the blessings of the ancient mountains, than the bounty of the age-old hills. Let all these rest on the head of Joseph, on the brow of the prince among his brothers." You’ll note that no-one attacked Joseph while he was living and ruling in Egypt, so this is a prophecy for the last days, and one which has considerable meaning having regards for the identity of the ‘archers’. When the rest of the European nations caved in under the threats from these satanic hordes, America remained strong.

And there is something else that distinguishes America over Britain. In the Book of Revelation God speaks of fulfilling His promise to the Patriarchs by granting special (and very great) privileges to each of the Tribes of Israel – with the exception of the Tribe of Dan. 12,000 of each of the Tribes are listed (Rev 7:4), but with a double portion to Joseph. Here we find mention of Manasseh, but Ephraim is identified by the name of his father Joseph – and Joseph was prince over his brothers.

In terms of end-time prophecy, Manasseh is given little mention, but Ephraim is spoken of again and again, and in very specific terms. Ephraim’s older brother Manasseh has faded away over many generations now, while Ephraim has grown stronger.

Jacob gave a brief prophecy for each of his sons, noting that each would be a community of peoples (Gen 48:4). This is one of the translator’s grand understatements. God actually said that each would become a great nation. Yet Joseph’s two sons would be elevated over them all, but like Joseph, Ephraim was to be prince over them all (Gen 48:19). And it’s in this verse that we find that Ephraim was to become ‘a group of nations’. The actual words of this translation are ‘melo ha goyim’ meaning the ‘fullness of the Gentiles’. We might have been left to debate this endlessly as to the meaning, except that the Apostle Paul referred to these very words concerning Israel, and confirmed the meaning in the Book of Romans – and this concerned a prophecy for the last days: Rom 11:25 "I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. ²⁶ And so all [the remnant or survivors of] Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The deliverer will come from Zion; He will turn godlessness away from Jacob. ²⁷ And this is my Covenant with them when I take away their sins." Rom 9:27 "Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: "Though the number of the Israelites be like the sand by the sea, only the remnant will be saved. ²⁸ For the Lord will carry out His sentence on earth with speed and finality."

So Jacob’s prophecy concerning Ephraim about the fullness of the Gentiles (melo ha goyim) is about a massive insurgency of Gentiles coming in just prior to the remnant of the Israelites being rescued and delivered.

Concerning Jacob’s prophecies about each of his sons, just a brief description is given of them, with the exception of Judah and Joseph. For these two Tribes, his instructions are detailed and specific. For instance, Judah is described thus: Gen 49:8-12 "Judah, your brothers will praise you; your hand will be on the neck of your enemies; your father’s sons will bow down to you. ⁹ You are a lion’s cub, O Judah; you return from the prey, my son. Like a lion he crouches and lies down, like a lioness – who dares to rouse him? ¹⁰ The Scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until He comes to whom it belongs and the obedience of the nations is His. ¹¹ He will tether his donkey to a vine, His colt to the choicest branch; He will wash his garments in wine, His robes in the blood of grapes. ¹² His eyes will be darker than wine, his teeth whiter than milk."

We can’t let this description of Judah pass without comment, because it details some of the most detailed and important prophecies that will ever be fulfilled. Judah is set to become the greatest of Tribes because salvation – rescue – is of the Jews (John 4:22)! When they become properly marshaled by the Sons of Jerusalem, they will be like a firepot in a woodpile, like a flaming torch among sheaves, and will go out and consume and destroy the SURROUNDING NATIONS (Zech 12:5-6). The term, ‘like a lion’ is a reference to the Lion of the Tribe of Judah and the Root of David (Rev 5:5). And Judah is to be just like Him! In this description of the vision, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah looks as if He has been slain. It wasn’t so long ago that this Lion’s cub (Judah) looked like he had been slain too in a devastating holocaust. And even now, Judah (the Israelis) are under the most severe threat of annihilation by the Muslim hordes that surround the Holy Land. But Judah will emerge victorious and will receive the praise of their brothers. This will occur once the bad advice of Ephraim is dispensed with, and they are shown what real strength is.

The One to whom the Scepter belongs will come from Judah, and He will stain His robes in the blood of the hordes that surround the Holy Land, as one stains his clothes with the blood of grapes when he treads the winepress. A detailed description is found in Isa 63:1-6 "Who is this coming from Edom, from Bozrah, with his garments stained crimson? Who is this, robed in splendor, striding forward in the greatness of his strength? "It is I, speaking in righteousness, mighty to save." ² Why are your garments red, like those of one treading the winepress? ³ "I have trodden the winepress alone; from the nations no one was with me. I trampled them in my anger and trod them down in my wrath; their blood spattered my garments, and I stained all my clothing. ⁴ For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redemption has come. ⁵ I looked, but there was no one to help, I was appalled that no one gave support; so my own arm worked salvation for me, and my own wrath sustained me. ⁶ I trampled the nations in my anger; in my wrath I made them drunk and poured their blood on the ground." ⁷ I will tell of the kindnesses of the LORD, the deeds for which He is to be praised, according to all the LORD has done for us – yes, the many good things he has done for the house of Israel, according to his compassion and many kindnesses."

Almighty God has great regard for Judah because they, above all the Tribes of Israel, remained faithful to God’s Laws and never lost their identity by emulating the Gentiles. Some may argue that they rejected the Lord Jesus as the Messiah, but the days are coming when they will repent of this as deeply as anyone ever repented (Zech 12:10-13). In contrast to the Jews, Christianity accepted Jesus as the Christ or Messiah, but then refused to obey the Law of God. Of course, it wasn’t this way during the times of the Apostles, but as soon as Gentiles became involved in Christianity this soon all changed. Today, Christianity believes they are all saved, yet they can’t seem to explain what they are saved from! But one thing is certain, they are nothing like the Son of God Jesus who remained faithful even to dying in faith in honour of His Father.

In view of what is described in Isaiah chapter 63 concerning the Mighty Christ, it seems logical that people would see Him as the example to follow. But in the fog of what they believe ‘salvation’ means, Christianity has no interest in emulating Him. The reference to Edom is a clear indication that these people are hated by God and He clearly states this (Mal 1:2-5). As a point of interest, Edom occupies the western side of Arabia where the cities of Mecca and Medina are, and it’s these so-called ‘holy cities’ of Islam that are to be targeted first.

So it comes as no surprise that these Islamic hordes that surround the Holy Land would become the first target of His wrath. But Christianity in general doesn’t share God’s views concerning Islam, either because of some form of madness or because of their super-self-righteousness. And now they must overcome this deficiency if they are to enter God’s Kingdom. And there is a specific promise for those who overcome and endure to the end, and this is found in Rev 2:26-27 "To him who overcomes and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations – ²⁷ ‘He will rule them with an iron scepter; he will dash them to pieces like pottery’ – just as I have received authority from my Father. ²⁸ I will also give him the morning star. ²⁹ He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."

It’s hard to fathom how the false prophets, who have never understood Bible prophecy, should fail to understand what God requires them to be, and whom they are supposed to emulate. They were so busy concocting their own ‘prophecies’ from their own uninspired minds that their whole doctrine fell apart at the most crucial time possible. But they still cling to the errors of the past, and refuse to overcome their mistakes. They are less interested in what God has to say, than what some human being told them, and through whom they believed absolute nonsense. The same man, who is described as a worthless shepherd in Zech 11:15-17, actually taught that the British crown was the Scepter of Judah! What sort of madness is this? God plainly says that the Scepter will never depart from Judah, but this man says it did! He says it departed to Ephraim, who he mistakenly believed was Britain. At the time he wrote all this, a mightier power had to go to the rescue of Britain in WW2. This was America. And America is superior in every way to Britain, both in population, wealth, prestige and the power to make war. Does Britain have preeminence in any way over the mightiest nation on earth? Like the Dutch, French, Spanish and Portuguese, Britain once had global possessions, but they have since lost all these. And this occurred prior to the time of the end-of-the-age prophecies.

The fact is that America comprises all the Tribes of Israel. They are all well represented in the nation of America, including the Tribe of Simeon – the German people. And I won’t even bother to draw attention to the fiction that German people are the ancient Assyrians as one false prophet asserted with no evidence whatsoever. In this way, Ephraim is also prince over his brothers in his own homeland. But Ephraim (America) has some severe lessons to learn, not least is their way of compromising with God’s enemies. Because of their great wealth, they think they can do no wrong: Hos 12:8 "Ephraim boasts, "I am very rich; I have become wealthy. With all my wealth they will not find in me any iniquity or sin." Because of their great wealth, they think they are masters of diplomacy, and their great ‘wisdom’ will carry them through any crisis. Right now they are turning against Judah and favouring the Muslim hordes. They are going to be very sorry they did this!

And God gives the reasons why: Zech 10:4-9 "From Judah will come the Cornerstone, from him the tent peg, from him the battle bow, from him every ruler. ⁵ Together they will be like mighty men trampling the muddy streets in battle. Because the LORD is with them, they will fight and overthrow the horsemen (the four horsemen of the Apocalypse). ⁶ "I will strengthen the house of Judah and SAVE THE HOUSE OF JOSEPH. I will restore them because I have compassion on them. They will be as though I had not rejected them, for I am the LORD their God and I will answer them. ⁷ The EPHRAIMITES will become like mighty men, and their hearts will be glad as with wine. Their children will see it and be joyful; their hearts will rejoice in the LORD. ⁸ I will signal for them and gather them in. Surely I will redeem them; they will be as numerous as before. ⁹ Though I scatter them among the peoples, yet in distant lands they will remember me. They and their children will survive, and they will return."

God reveals his secrets and His plans to His servants the prophets. Amos 3:7 "Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to HIS SERVANTS THE PROPHETS. ⁸ The lion has roared – who will not fear? The Sovereign LORD has spoken – who can but prophesy?" God plans to introduce the element of fear among those who were not God’s servants the prophets, and punish them for their presumptuous behaviour. All the false prophets know that their ‘prophecies’ didn’t come from the revelations of the Bible, but from their own imaginations. God’s servants the prophets teach what God instructs because they believe Him. And they really don’t care about those who don’t believe God. If their message is believed then the believer has much to gain, but if not, then they are considered to be infidels and alienated from God. You cannot fake having the Spirit of Prophecy! You either have it or you don’t. And I can tell you point-blank, that no-one outside of this Brotherhood of Prophets has the Spirit of prophecy! When we see the pathetic ‘prophecies’ conjured up in the minds of others it becomes very evident to us that they have no enlightenment whatsoever. What is more, these dreamers don’t even have the Testimony of Jesus which is the Spirit of Prophecy (Rev 19:10). So if you don’t believe God’s messenger, then you are not a Christian and certainly not a servant of God.

It’s a bit late now to be wresting the Scriptures to make them conform to manmade doctrines and prophecies. The wall is about to come tumbling down and no amount of whitewashing is going to change that. Eze 13:10-16 "Because they lead my people astray, saying, "Peace," when there is no peace, and because, when a flimsy wall is built, they cover it with whitewash, ¹¹ therefore tell those who cover it with whitewash that it is going to fall. Rain will come in torrents, and I will send hailstones hurtling down, and violent winds will burst forth. ¹² When the wall collapses, will people not ask you, "Where is the whitewash you covered it with?" ¹³ "Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: In my wrath I will unleash a violent wind, and in my anger hailstones and torrents of rain will fall with destructive fury. ¹⁴ I will tear down the wall you have covered with whitewash and will level it to the ground so that its foundation will be laid bare. When it falls, you will be destroyed in it; and you will know that I am the LORD. ¹⁵ So I will spend my wrath against the wall and against those who covered it with whitewash. I will say to you, "The wall is gone and so are those who whitewashed it, ¹⁶ those PROPHETS OF ISRAEL who prophesied to Jerusalem and saw visions of peace for her when there was no peace, declares the Sovereign LORD."

Judah and Jerusalem are in severe danger of being overrun and slaughtered, but the House of Israel is convinced that ‘peace’ is in the air through a ridiculous ‘roadmap for peace’! Jerusalem is the City of a Great King – a point that seems to be lost on both the wall and the whitewashers. And now it must be taken by force by forceful men (Matt 11:12) and the Holy Land cleared of Gentiles. ‘Those prophets of Israel’ will have a lot to answer for! Most Bible students realize that the Kingdom of God will start as a tiny mustard seed and grow to a great tree, and this Kingdom will fill the earth.

Obviously, I can’t go into all the reasons why America is Ephraim, but these are all detailed throughout the articles of our website. Now is not the time to be whitewashing or embellishing failed prophecies from those who are not prophets. Time has run out and there is no time left for straining over picky issues. You need to clear your mind of the foolishness that has masqueraded as prophecy for these many past years and realize that such nonsense did not come from the inspiration of God’s Holy Spirit.

Remember these words: Isa 8:20-22 "To the Law and to the Testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, they have no light of dawn. ²¹ Distressed and hungry, they will roam through the land; when they are famished, they will become enraged and, looking upward, will curse their king and their God. ²² Then they will look toward the earth and see only distress and darkness and fearful gloom, and they will be thrust into utter darkness." You can be sure that this will be fulfilled just as it is written. We, the Brotherhood, have seen many of these people already who became hostile to us because of their own perceived versions of doctrine, and when they realized how little they understood about God’s Word, they became atheists and expressed hatred for God and His Word – and of course, this Brotherhood. And this is the danger of holding fast to uninspired doctrine. It will become a virtual death sentence.

It surely cannot have gone unnoticed that Manasseh (Britain) has been around a lot longer than Ephraim (America). Britain is an old nation and represents the older brother in prophecy. America is a new nation and the Americas are sometimes referred to as the ‘new world’. Clearly, Manasseh (Britain) is the older of the two, yet while Ephraim (America) is younger they are far greater and mightier than Britain ever was.

Again and again, God makes detailed mention of Ephraim. In fact, the Book of Hosea is a book entirely dedicated to them. It begins with a parable about the House of Israel when they rebelled against God and His Holy City Jerusalem in the days of Jeroboam (Hos 1:1). The prophet Hosea begins to act out a parable concerning Ephraim (Jeroboam was an Ephraimite), and takes a harlot for a wife. Without going into the lengthy details of the first two chapters of the Book of Hosea, it emerges that this parable concerning the Ephraimites is about God and His Bride after they’ve been redeemed from slavery: Hos 2:16 "In that day," declares the LORD, "you will call me ‘my Husband’; you will no longer call me ‘my Master’. ¹⁷ I will remove the names of the Baals from her lips; no longer will their names be invoked. ¹⁸ In that day I will make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field and the birds of the air and the creatures that move along the ground. Bow and sword and battle I will abolish from the land, so that all may lie down in safety. ¹⁹ I WILL BETROTH YOU TO ME FOREVER; I will betroth you in righteousness and justice, in love and compassion. ²⁰ I will betroth you in faithfulness, and you will acknowledge the LORD." So now we can see clearly who is to be the Bride of Christ (though the Book of Revelation makes this clear enough with the listing to the 12 Tribes).

And just to illustrate that this whole Book concerns Ephraim and the last days, God says this: Hos 3:4-5 "For the Israelites will live many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred stones, without ephod or idol. ⁵ Afterward the Israelites will return and seek the LORD their God and David their king. They will come trembling to the LORD and to his blessings IN THE LAST DAYS." You will notice that Ephraim rejected their king – King George III, and have lived without a king during these many years. What is more, God makes mention of the mother (Hos 2:2), a reference to ‘mother England’ who colonized nations to get cheap imports of goods (V5-6), something that America has never needed to do. America has rich abundance of their own and were always self-sufficient – especially since they divested of kings and princes.

There are many things in the Book of Hosea that identify Ephraim as the foremost nation among the Israelites, and in fact, God identifies Ephraim as the Israelites: Hos 5:3-5 "I know all about Ephraim; Israel is not hidden from me. Ephraim, you have now turned to prostitution; Israel is corrupt. ⁴ Their deeds do not permit them to return to their God. A spirit of prostitution is in their heart; they do not acknowledge the LORD. ⁵ Israel’s arrogance testifies against them; THE ISRAELITES, EVEN EPHRAIM, stumble in their sin; Judah also stumbles with them." When God speaks of prostitution, He is speaking of showing favours to foreign gods – especially towards the heathen that surround the Holy Land! And now they have involved Judah with their prostitution! In the past, Judah went out and hammered the Islamic hordes and destroyed them, but each time Ephraim insisted on a cease-fire, and even insisted of giving back the captured portions of the Holy Land. Now Ephraim is becoming painfully aware that these Muslim hordes are not really their lovers after all. It’s taken a while, but with all the venom and hatred expressed by their lovers, America is beginning to realize that prostitutes are not serious about love!

God actually tells a parable about Ephraim’s prostitution: Hos 4:14-15 "I will not punish your daughters when they turn to prostitution, nor your daughters-in-law when they commit adultery, because THE MEN THEMSELVES CONSORT WITH HARLOTS and sacrifice with shrine [religious] prostitutes – a people without understanding will come to ruin! ¹⁵ "Though you commit adultery, O Israel, let not Judah become guilty." So the men of Israel are leading Judah into the same type of prostitution that they are engaging in. It goes without saying that both Ephraim and Manasseh will turn against Judah and suffer devastating consequences: Isa 9:21 "Manasseh will feed on Ephraim, and Ephraim on Manasseh; TOGETHER THEY WILL TURN AGAINST JUDAH." Only Ephraim and Manasseh have been for protecting Judah up until now; Europe and the rest of the world have not had any real interest in supporting them. So there are virtually only two Tribes who could turn against them at this time, and that is Ephraim and Manasseh. So when these turn against Judah, Judah will be standing alone. We don’t even have to guess who Ephraim and Manasseh are; the evidence is now very clear in relation to prophecy in the last days! In that very day that Ephraim and Manasseh agree to implement their new peace plan, God’s anger against them will reach its zenith.

Both Manasseh and Ephraim have been yoked together in the ‘war on terror’. And both are now seeing the solution as abandoning Judah to the enemy in order to buy peace. For this arrogance, God holds the mighty Ephraim to be accountable for this outrage: Hos 5:9-12 "Ephraim will be laid waste on the day of reckoning. Among the tribes of Israel I proclaim what is certain. ¹⁰ Judah’s leaders are like those who move boundary stones (it was always at the behest of Ephraim (America) who insisted the Israelis give back their own land to the Muslims). I will pour out my wrath on them like a flood of water. ¹¹ Ephraim is oppressed, trampled in judgment, intent on pursuing idols. ¹² I am like a moth to Ephraim, like rot to the people of Judah." Obviously, God’s anger is against Ephraim and Judah now and Manasseh is out of the picture.

Nations generally get the leaders they deserve, and Judah now has a featureless wimp as a prime minister! Ehud Olmert is prepared to give away Jerusalem and the entire Holy Land in order to have peace, and his popularity is running at less than 20%. It’s not exactly government ‘by the people and for the people’, is it? This treacherous swine has become drunk on the wine of Satan, and has little regard for the welfare of his people. He’s made absolutely no effort to get back the three kidnapped soldiers for whom Israel went to war. He has no idea if Gilad Shalit, Ehud Goldwasser or Eldad Regev are even still alive! And neither has he made any demands to even find out!

Naturally enough, God is growing very tired of His betrothed, and is set to destroy them. Instead He will betroth another ‘woman’ to rescue His bride. This other ‘woman’ is actually the House of David – a house faithful to God. It goes without saying that the House of David was established through God’s own Tribe (Num 8:13-16) – the Tribe of Levi, the priesthood Tribe. It was the prophet and priest Samuel that was sent to establish the House of David. And from the Tribe of Levi comes the messenger to prepare the way for the true Messenger of the Covenant (Mal 3:1).

Hos 5:14-15 "For I will be like a lion to Ephraim, like a great lion to Judah. I will tear them to pieces and go away; I will carry them off, with no one to rescue them. ¹⁵ Then I will go back to my place until they admit their guilt. And they will seek my face; in their misery they will earnestly seek me." Hos 6:1-3 "Come, let us return to the LORD. He has torn us to pieces but He will heal us; He has injured us but He will bind up our wounds. ² After two days he will revive us; on the third day He will [begin to] restore us, that we may live in His presence. ³ Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge Him. As surely as the sun rises (after a long dark night), He will appear; He will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth." And in that day the Israelites will be gathered one by one (Isa 27:12) and brought back to their inheritance. It will be a long process to extract these people, but during that time they will see hope for the future. In that day, a faithful ‘woman’ will be preparing the way for the Mighty Christ and clearing the Holy Land of the Islamic vermin and stabilizing the Tribe of Judah.

So there is treachery afoot everywhere, and the whole world has gone mad. The only nation that has the power and might to rectify the growing situation is America, the mightiest power on earth, but their only interest is in bringing peace to God’s enemies, and now, at the expense of Judah (the Israelis). America has the power and might to reduce any Islamic nation to rubble, and to decimate their populations. Had they done this, then God would have shown them great favour, but no! America doesn’t know the way to peace, and neither are they prepared to learn. They still believe they can proselyte to Satan’s brood and convert them to democracy. They are, however, learning this lesson fast, but lamentably too late! The power and might of the greatest of all the Tribes of Israel has only succeeded in leading them all to destruction. No wonder God says of Ephraim that they are like a silly dove, senseless and deceived (Hos 7:11)!

Which other nation on earth can compare with Ephraim for generosity and humanity? Many nations on this earth have benefited from Ephraim’s benevolence, even those who show no signs of reciprocation. All the nations who received America’s foreign aid snatched it greedily, and then spat venom in return. Unlike Russia, China and all of Islam, America gave without prior conditions. Literally millions of starving people have been fed by America. America is always the first to give and always the biggest donor. And what did they get back from Satan’s brood? Only hatred and venom!

The difference between America and the rest of the world is that while the rest of the world goes to war for the purpose of conquest and the seizure of territories, America goes to war for the purpose of justice – as they see it, and not for the purpose of territorial gains, nor for financial advantage. You couldn’t name a single time America ever went to war and gained anything. Even the War of Independence against Britain was merely to hold what they had built and the refusal to be taxed by another nation. Furthermore it was Britain that precipitated this war. Britain’s excessive tax on tea was the last straw and the fledgling nation of America (Ephraim) was born. Even at that time, Britain lost the war to this emerging nation, and America became a nation in its own right. And what ideals this nation was built on! The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution established the nation under the principles of Christianity and as a God-fearing nation. For the first time in history a nation was born that was not dictated to by apostate churches, as was the case throughout Europe, and the Bible became a book of pride throughout the land. Instead of swearing allegiance to a king, Congress swore allegiance to God and the Bible. Every courthouse was required to uphold the Bible as the ultimate authority for justice and mercy.

The Tribe of Joseph stood apart from the rest of the Israelites both geographically and in language. England is separated and isolated by sea from Europe and so is America. The rest of the Tribes of Israel are contiguous with each other. The English language is the dominant language in the Western world, and this is the language of the House of Joseph today. What is more, it will be the language of all the House of Israel in the Kingdom of God.

So there are many differences between the Tribes of Joseph and the rest of the Tribes of Israel, differences that make them distinct. As far as the last days are concerned, the whole focus of prophecy relates to Ephraim and Judah, and both of these have had strong alliances in the past. In fact, it’s this strong alliance that is causing the rising blood-pressure in the Islamic hordes – and everybody knows it! Ahmadinejab of Iran screams it almost daily, and is now challenging America to a fight. The catalyst for this fight is being planned to occur while Congress is in session and it will be a blow from which America will never recover. The ruler of Persia has been given a very large sword (Rev 6:3-4). Already he is causing men to kill each other and is today, virtually the ruler of Iraq as well as Iran. His Shi’ite followers are taking control of everything – much to America’s growing dismay.

Hos 10:11 "Ephraim is a trained heifer that loves to thresh…." V13 "But you have planted wickedness, you have reaped evil, you have eaten the fruit of deception. Because you have depended on your own strength and on your many warriors…" No other Tribe of Israel can field as many soldiers as America (Ephraim). And do men tremble when Britain speaks today? Some investors might when they find themselves exposed to Britain’s economy, but not for any other reason. Men do tremble when Ephraim speaks because he is so exalted in Israel: Hos 13:1 "When Ephraim spoke, men trembled; he was exalted in Israel." There can be no doubt which nation is exalted in Israel!

Perhaps all that is written above will be expanded on and posted in our new Q&A section of our website. The question is when. If the reader can’t discern the signs of the times now, and see the relationship to Bible prophecy, then what possible advantage would there be in further information? For those who don’t believe God now, then their only option is to wait until it all unfolds. Then of course, they will suffer the consequences and die. They will then be considered worthless for any purpose, because God has no interest whatsoever in those who don’t believe Him! This applies to those who had a form of worship but denied the power of God. 2Tim 3:1-5-6 "But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. ² People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, ³ without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, ⁴ treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God – ⁵ HAVING A FORM OF GODLINESS BUT DENYING ITS POWER. Have nothing to do with them. ⁶ They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over weak-willed women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, ⁷ ALWAYS LEARNING BUT NEVER ABLE TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE TRUTH."

Incredibly, there have been so many people who were always learning, but were never able to acknowledge the Truth! They believed the most outlandish rubbish that has nothing to do with God’s Truth or prophecy, and believed anything their local preacher told them, but they can’t bring themselves to believe the Word of God. Like the Scribes and Pharisees of old, they strain over picky little issues, but ignore the weightier matters of The Law and the Testimony.

Truly Ephraim has much to learn and God plans to redress their faulty reasoning. For years now, Judah has been under the strain of constant attacks from the hordes that surround the Holy Land. They’ve been subjected to merciless suicide attacks on the innocent, including busloads of Israeli children, yet America continues to bemoan the ‘plight’ of the Palestinian hordes. America wants peace for them, yet can’t seem to grasp that the Palestinians don’t want peace! They only want the destruction of the Israelis! And now America is in the difficult position of having all of Islam braying for their blood. And the more they shill for Islam the worse it becomes for them! How senseless and deceived does a nation have to be to fail to see the obvious?

America’s great and majestic charter was to free the Iraqi hordes from the tyranny of Saddam Hussein and introduce democracy amid a grateful nation. They planned to showpiece their success in Iraq to the rest of the Muslim hordes and transform the world. At the time, it seemed to most Americans to be a noble goal and a winning formula for peace in the Middle East. They had no idea what they were dealing with, and they were soon to find out that Satan’s hordes are a law to themselves (a term used by God to describe them – Hab 1:6-7). Islam is not interested in America’s laws to govern their people; in fact, they hate America and all it stands for. Islam wants to impose shariah law that proclaims death to infidels. America failed to realize the determination of the Islamic hordes to die for their god – Allah the Oak, who is in fact, Satan the devil!

While America was wearing blinkers and suffering from some form of selective delusion of the facts of the Middle East, suddenly they find themselves facing the same problems as the Israelis have for these past decades. They are facing an intractable enemy who values nothing, including their own lives, and they are driven by religious fanaticism to see the West destroyed. For all these many decades, America believed that the Israelis should do more to promote peace and they were ever ready to give bad advice on how to achieve this. Now America finds itself in the same position with the same intractable brood of Islam, and they are suddenly aware that they have no answers! Unfortunately for them, they can’t blame the Israelis for the events in Iraq – at least not from the logical view of an impartial observer. But this was before James Baker and Lee Hamilton released their myopic Iraqi Study Group report! Now the Israelis are front and centre of the root cause as creative reasoning and blame grows in momentum in the hallways of the cynical and deluded.

Once again, ‘the Jewish solution’ has sinister overtones with the assertion that the whole world would be a better place if the Israelis no longer exist. Their blame-game has begun in earnest. How could an ‘Iraqi Study Group’ possibly have anything to do with the Israelis? Jim Baker even mentions the ‘right of return’ of the Arab hordes to live in Israel as a homeland – the effect of which would swamp the demographics and make the Israelis minority citizens. The madness of this ‘solution’ to the Iraqi problems makes about as much sense as offering to give Washington to the Eskimos! It might make perfect sense to a man like Baker, but it would leave the Eskimos perplexed.

Don’t tell me these dopes spent nine months preparing this report! The average blogger could produce a more factual report in a day, and many have done just that! I myself, would have happily produced a real solution, and I would have completed it in an hour. Now it will take years to undo the mess that Baker and his cronies have introduced. And what is more, I can guarantee absolute failure of his senseless recommendations. Whenever anyone uses such demented reasoning in an attempt to appear intelligent and statesmanlike, they invariably make complete fools of themselves. The first sign that the report was mindless and illusionary was when the flip-flopper himself endorsed it. John Kerry enthusiastically lauded its content, calling on full implementation of all the recommendations. He did, however, reserve his right to change his mind either tomorrow or next week, depending on which way the wind blows. He added that the report says what he has been saying all along. He must have been saying it to his dog, because no-one has heard any objective suggestions from Kerry; he mostly chooses to denigrate soldiers in Iraq as being below average intelligence – and considers it a big joke. His idea of an intelligent soldier (like himself) is one who runs away in the heat of battle and then claims a Purple Heart for a shaving nick. No wonder Kerry liked Baker’s report. Of the 79 recommendations there was not a single one that suggested any means to win in Iraq, but merely suggested ways to turn tail and run. One of the central themes of the report was a recommendation for developing techniques for groveling to the Iranians and Syrians, and begging them for help in retreating with honour. With John Kerry’s considerable experience in these techniques, he would be the perfect front man. We are soon to learn what God thinks of cowardice!

The importance of the identity of Ephraim poses a very real and important question: Why did God so bless a nation and yet predicted their downfall? What could the purpose of this possibly be? It’s obvious to all believers that God is super-intelligent and purposeful in everything He does, so He has a real purpose in mind. Central to this whole question is the fact that God made a binding promise to His friend Abraham. Abraham became God’s friend because of his state of mind. He wasn’t given to the fiction of illusionary and grandiose behaviour; but rather, he believed God and this was credited to him as righteousness. James 2:23-24 "And the scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness", and he was called God’s friend. ²⁴ You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone." Abraham was also faithful, and is called ‘the father of the faithful’. So what did Abraham do that earned him this justification? Well it occurred in a battle against 4 mighty kings, one of whom was the king of Babylonia (Shinar); a seemingly invincible force that had just destroyed six other nations, including the sons of Ham (Gen 14:5-7). After this, they turned on another five kingdoms, including those of Sodom and Gomorrah, slaughtering and enslaving them. Among those who were taken captive were Abraham’s nephew Lot and his family, and a messenger escaped to tell Abraham. Now this was quite a situation that Abraham faced! Here were four kings that had just conquered most of the known world from Babylon to Africa, and all of Arabia including Seir and Paran; so what could Abraham do? Abraham believed God when He told him that he was giving a vast land to him, and that through him all the nations of the earth would be blessed (Gen 12:1-4), so he knew that no harm would come to him. With his great faith in God he called out 318 trained men who were born in his own household. The account is found in Gen 14:14 "When Abram heard that his relative had been taken captive, he called out the 318 trained men born in his household and went in pursuit as far as Dan. ¹⁵ During the night Abram divided his men to attack them and he routed them, pursuing them as far as Hobah, north of Damascus. ¹⁶ He recovered all the goods and brought back his relative Lot and his possessions, together with the women and the other people. ¹⁷ After Abram returned from defeating Kedorlaomer and the kings allied with him, the king of Sodom came out to meet him in the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley). ¹⁸ Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was Priest of God Most High (this is one and the same Jesus who is today the Priest of the Most High – the Father), ¹⁹ and He blessed Abram, saying, "Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth. ²⁰ And blessed be God Most High, WHO DELIVERED YOUR ENEMIES INTO YOUR HAND." Just a few things concerning this. Firstly, Jesus Christ is the High Priest of God the Father and serves at the Altar in Heaven. Today He is still a High Priest after the priestly Order of Melchizedek (Heb 7:16). The Order of this Priesthood is an Order of warriors, and this is why the Prince of Peace (Melchizedek) blessed Abraham for his great exploits as a warrior. Jesus Christ of the Order of Melchizedek is a Great Warrior also, as the world is about to find out! Edom, Seir and Paran will be among the first to find this out! So perhaps the reader can understand the type of warrior that pleases God. He doesn’t expect His chosen nations to be blessing His enemies!

It should surprise no-one that the Logos brought out bread and wine in His capacity as Priest of God Most High – the symbols of His Body and Blood – and served them to Abraham. These symbols also represent the Passover, which means life to the faithful but death to the firstborn of the disobedient. Even the Israelites knew they were not exempt from the threat of the death angels on the night of the Passover except as they splashed the blood of the lamb on the door lintel and ate the body of the lamb. The Passover is something that must be remembered forever, and what is more, God has in mind to reinforce the memory of it in these last days.

Abraham rode out with just 318 trained men from his own household and delivered a slaughter against a virtual empire of mighty kings with tens of thousands of warriors. Abraham pursued them and cut them down leaving death and destruction in his wake. It’s clear that Abraham’s great faith and courage was very pleasing to both God the Father and the Lord Christ. Centuries later, God was still trying to instill in Abraham’s descendants the desire to wipe out the hordes that were occupying the Holy Land, but with limited success. They did fight some notable battles at God’s instructions, but seemed to lack the determination to completely clear the Holy Land. Consequently, they were never out of trouble with the Amorites or the Philistines, or any of the other treacherous hordes in the region. And the problem exists to this very day. Even with the passage of three millennia, the House of Israel has failed to break the back of these hordes and drive them from God’s Holy Land. The House of Israel is fully aware from days of old that their duty to God is to drive out these satanic swine, but have never succeeded in doing it. The Crusaders from the 11^th to the 13^th century had the right idea and the determination but in the end they lacked the support of the greedy kings of Europe who constantly argued over rights to captured territories.

Then came Napoleon, the Little General, and beat the tar out of the Marmalukes, and captured Egypt, but was drawn away by other pressing matters, and was never able to complete his mission in the Middle East. Next came Britain, Australia and America in the First World War, and the conquest of the Islamic Ottoman Empire and the recapturing of the Holy City Jerusalem by the Australian Tenth Light Horse. There were certainly promising signs of the fulfillment of God’s instructions. Both Major Allenby and British PM Lloyd George (coincidentally, both were Levites) pushed for the reestablishment of the Jewish State of Judah – a homeland for the Jews. But in the madness of those times, they still hadn’t clear the Holy Land of the vermin that lived there before the armistice was signed, and the Land soon reverted again to decay.

Consequently, another war had to be fought just 20 years later, and again Britain, America and Australia found themselves fighting side by side. Once again, those entrusted with the very words of God (Rom 3:2), the Jews, were the catalyst that motivated a world war. Hitler’s book ‘Mein Kampf’ became the playbook for hatred of the Jews and the motivating force for Germany’s ambition. It wasn’t Hitler, but Satan, that wanted no more Jews in the Holy Land as the effects of Major Allenby and PM Lloyd George had enabled, so Satan took the long view of eradicating them from the earth. From his sparse understanding of the Scriptures, Satan knew that salvation would come from the Jews, and without any Jews left, God’s plan of establishing the whole House of Israel in the Holy Land seemed destined to fail. To Satan it seemed like a logical first step and perhaps the most important one on his perverted agenda against the Almighty God. Satan never seems to learn that he will never win against the mighty arm of God, and so he once again saw his hopes dashed.

In the past, Satan’s main agenda was to thwart God and discredit him. He is ever so pleased to see professing Christians refuse to defend God’s reputation! It titillates him to see such people so enmeshed in their own importance and their grandiose ideas about having a ticket to heaven that they ignore everything God entrusted to the Jews – His Words! Even Satan can tell the difference between a fake Christian and a real one. But there is one thing that Satan could never have known in his wildest imagination, and that is that his very life is on the line. Through six thousand years of human existence, Satan has imagined that the conduct of humanity amounted merely to a contest between him and God – between his offspring and God’s offspring (a division observed by John in 1John 3:10.) Satan is the supreme ruler of all his brood, and has managed to outnumber God’s people by a factor of 12 to 1. So he felt confident that he was winning the contest. But there is no real contest even though Satan is God’s adversary. Only now in these last days, and through God’s appointed servants, does he now know what the stakes are. He now knows he faces death just as his brother did – the Lord Christ. He has known for a couple of thousand years that he has a 1000-year sentence hanging over his head for his prior sins of destroying the earth before mankind appeared. But he never anticipated losing his life forever. In the fullness of time, Satan and his angels (demons) will go to the Lake of fire specially prepared for them.

Matt 25:41 "Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire PREPARED FOR THE DEVIL AND HIS ANGELS. ⁴² For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, ⁴³ I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ ⁴⁴ They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ ⁴⁵ He will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ ⁴⁶ Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life." A book could be written on the content of these few verses, but we’ll leave this for another time. Importantly, it relates to the ‘second death’, and will occur long after God pours out His Holy Spirit on all the House of Israel – which occurs at the beginning of the Millennium. But importantly, the Lake of Fire is prepared for the devil and his angels (demons). These things are mentioned because of monstrous claims that have been made that suggest Satan and his demons will live forever. The purveyors of this lying nonsense believe Satan and his demons to be immortal. They fully accept that the Lord Christ, the Son of God died, but can’t believe that Satan can die. The Bible gives clear answers on this but it has been covered in other articles at our website.

God entrusted His Words (the Scriptures that Christ used – the Old Testament) to the Jews, and it’s just as well He did. Christianity for the most part has rejected it. As in the days of Jeroboam, when the City of God was repudiated in favour of their own ‘holy cities’ together with their pagan shrines, the Ephraimites are again repudiating God’s Holy City Jerusalem, and see the solution to the Middle East problems as giving Jerusalem away to God’s enemies. For this outrage, God’s vengeance will be swift! And He makes it very clear that He will target their CITY for their arrogance! Ephraim’s CITY is set in a fertile valley and is the pride of the nation. God gives us a very good description of this and is not very complimentary of Ephraim’s conduct: Isa 28:1-8 "Woe to that wreath, the pride of Ephraim’s drunkards, to the fading flower, his glorious beauty, set on the head of a fertile valley – TO THAT CITY, the pride of those laid low by wine! ² See, the Lord has one who is powerful and strong. Like a hailstorm and a destructive wind, like a driving rain and a flooding downpour, he will throw it forcefully to the ground. ³ That wreath, the pride of Ephraim’s drunkards, will be trampled underfoot. ⁴ That fading flower, his glorious beauty, set on the head of a fertile valley, will be like a fig ripe before harvest – as soon as someone sees it and takes it in his hand, he swallows it. ⁵ In that day the LORD Almighty will be a glorious crown, a beautiful wreath for the remnant of his people. ⁶ He will be a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, a source of strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate." Ephraim’s drunkards occupy this seat of government in that City, with their endless talkfests and their crazy reasoning, all of which has led to the strengthening of Satan’s hordes. The authority of God is not the answer in their minds; democracy is! Democracy will save the day, and everyone will live as brothers in the global economy – peace and prosperity forever! It teaches us one thing: never try to reason with a drunk! V7 "And these also stagger from wine and reel from beer: Priests and prophets stagger from beer and are befuddled with wine; they reel from beer, they stagger when seeing visions, they stumble when rendering decisions. ⁸ All the tables are covered with vomit and there is not a spot without filth." God makes it very clear how He views the conduct in the City of Washington, and those who preside over the affairs of the nation of Ephraim. These verses unmistakably show who is Ephraim in prophecy. As we have said so many times before, this CITY and its DRUNKARDS are going to fall mightily and together. This will sober the nation up but it will be too late to do much about it. America will be like a ship without a rudder. Ephraim has been easily deceived and senseless with their dove-like attitude to war. They should have cleared their heads of the drunken stupor that has possessed them while they still had time.

But I would still caution anyone who has also followed drunken delusions from criticizing God’s son Ephraim (Jer 31:20). When God says He will be a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, this applies exclusively to His servants the prophets and no-one else! God hates hypocrisy, so don’t do it! In the same verse God also mentions that He is a source of strength to those who turn the battle back at the gate. God is not referring to the gate of Ephraim’s City of Washington, but to God’s City of Jerusalem, whom Ephraim is now repudiating in their drunken stupor. God will save Jerusalem – but not Washington!

As to God’s reference of Ephraim being His son, Jacob spoke of the two sons of Joseph as being like his own sons. Was Jacob speaking as God Himself in stating this? Perhaps you might recall Joseph’s dream (Joseph was a prophet of God) when he proposed just that: Gen 37:9 "Then he had another dream, and he told it to his brothers. "Listen," he said, "I had another dream, and this time the sun and moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me." ¹⁰ When he told his father as well as his brothers, his father rebuked him and said, "What is this dream you had? Will your mother and I and your brothers actually come and bow down to the ground before you?" ¹¹ His brothers were jealous of him, but his father kept the matter in mind." So Jacob recognized that he represented the Sun, Rachel the moon, and the eleven stars the brothers of Joseph. His father however, kept the matter in mind, and would later see it fulfilled. Like his grandfather Abraham, Jacob was a prophet, and being a prophet of God entails something far greater than mouthing off false prophecies that the ‘prophets of Israel’ love to engage in. It involves understanding God’s purpose and holding fast to it. But it also requires faith in God and the determination to believe Him. A true prophet always acts in God’s best interest, and never departs from it.

Why should anyone doubt the godlike qualities of God’s servants the prophets? Does anyone imagine that God would choose as His servants anyone who is not like Him? He chooses those who most resemble Him! Abraham was one example, as was Jacob – a warrior in his own right, who took a certain area of land from the Amorites with his sword and bow (Gen 48:22). David was another great warrior, and God has memorialized his great exploits by giving them as an example: Zech 12:6-9 "On that day I will make the leaders of Judah like a firepot in a woodpile, like a flaming torch among sheaves. They will consume right and left all the surrounding peoples, but Jerusalem will remain intact in her place. ⁷ The LORD will save the dwellings of Judah first, so that the honor of the house of David and of Jerusalem’s inhabitants may not be greater than that of Judah. ⁸ On that day the LORD will shield those who live in Jerusalem, so that the feeblest among them will be like David, and THE HOUSE OF DAVID WILL BE LIKE GOD, like the Angel of the LORD going before them. ⁹ On that day I will set out to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem."

It should be noted that Rachel was described as the moon in Joseph’s dream, the lesser light in the heavens. And it was Rachel that figured prominently in a very important prophecy even though she was long-since dead. I’ll quote the whole passage to put it in context: Jer 31:15 "This is what the LORD says: "A voice is heard in Ramah, mourning and great weeping, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because her children are no more." ¹⁶ This is what the LORD says: "Restrain your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears, for your work will be rewarded," declares the LORD. "They will return from the land of the enemy. ¹⁷ So there is hope for your future," declares the LORD. "Your children will return to their own land. ¹⁸ "I have surely heard EPHRAIM’S moaning: ‘You disciplined me like an unruly calf, and I have been disciplined. Restore me, and I will return, because you are the LORD my God. ¹⁹ After I strayed, I repented; after I came to understand, I beat my breast. I was ashamed and humiliated because I bore the disgrace of my youth.’ ²⁰ IS NOT EPHRAIM MY DEAR SON, the child in whom I delight? Though I often speak against him, I still remember him. Therefore my heart yearns for him; I have great compassion for him," declares the LORD." Jacob’s wife Rachel was the mother of Joseph. Here we find Rachel weeping for her children because they are no more, and as the above passage shows, it’s speaking of EPHRAIM.

It’s said that this prophecy was fulfilled when Herod tried to kill the children to prevent a king emerging that would threaten his position. Herod was the puppet of a powerful ruler of the heavenly realms, and his conduct tells us a lot about how they operate. We find in the Book of Matthew a reference to this being fulfilled at the time when Herod killed the sons of God’s people: Matt 2:13-19 "When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. "Get up," he said, "take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him." ¹⁴ So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt, ¹⁵ where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: "OUT OF EGYPT I CALLED MY SON." ¹⁶ When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi. ¹⁷ Then what was said through the prophet Jeremiah was fulfilled: ¹⁸ "A voice is heard in Ramah, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more." ¹⁹ After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt ²⁰ and said, "Get up, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for those who were trying to take the child’s life are dead." It may seem to be just fortuitous that this ‘Joseph’, Mary’s husband, was called by the same name as Joseph of Egypt. The reason Matthew says it was fulfilled, is because it was fulfilled in parable form. It’s a parable! And this becomes very clear when we realize it’s a prophecy (and a parable) about Joseph’s younger son Ephraim – who is called a son of God.

So Rachel’s weeping concerns her own children; Joseph’s son Ephraim in particular! And the term ‘OUT OF EGYPT I CALLED MY SON’ is also a reference to Ephraim: Hos 11:1-8 "When Israel was a child, I loved him, and OUT OF EGYPT I CALLED MY SON. ² But the more I called Israel, the further they went from me. They sacrificed to the Baals and they burned incense to images. ³ It was I who taught EPHRAIM to walk, taking them by the arms; but they did not realize it was I who healed them. ⁴ I led them with cords of human kindness, with ties of love; I lifted the yoke from their neck and bent down to feed them. ⁵ "Will they not return to Egypt and will not Assyria rule over them because they refuse to repent? ⁶ Swords will flash in their cities, will destroy the bars of their gates and put an end to their plans. ⁷ My people are determined to turn from me. Even if they call to the Most High, He will by no means exalt them. ⁸ "How can I give you up, EPHRAIM? How can I hand you over, ISRAEL?" God took a mere child of a nation and taught them to walk and bent down to feed them. And this child became the mightiest of nations!

With all the evil Gentile nations that exist on earth, who are literally drenched in evil, it’s strange that America is singled out for such venom and hatred by these degenerate hordes. Even in America there is the self-loathing lunatic fringe that hates their own country! You can understand this type of madness emerging from Satan’s brood, but from the American people themselves? America is the most righteous of nations by the standards of the rest of the world, but they are not righteous by God’s standards, and neither is broad-based Christianity who repudiate almost everything God has said. God has no interest in the Gentile nations and they can all slaughter each other for all God cares. God is only interested in the people He chose from all the families of the earth (Amos 3:1-2, Deut 7:6); the rest of the world can make their appeals to Allah the Oak, or to any of their many gods. Almighty God is not listening! For any Gentile to be given any consideration, they must become grafted into the Olive Tree, and be obedient to God. In other words, they must become Israelites. To this extend, there is hope for some Gentiles.

I don’t want to get too far afield with this, but God has predicted that there will be Gentiles who will turn to God with amazing dedication, and this will be after they see a GREAT LIGHT, and they will know that this is of God. Matt 4:15-17 "Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, the way to the sea, along the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles – the ¹⁶ people living in darkness have seen a GREAT LIGHT; on those living in the land of the SHADOW OF DEATH A LIGHT HAS DAWNED." ¹⁷ From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near." I won’t take the time to explain what this GREAT LIGHT is, but a strong clue is found in these verses: Luke 1:76-79 "And you, my child (John the Baptist), will be called a prophet of the Most High; for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for Him, ⁷⁷ to give his people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins, ⁷⁸ because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the RISING SUN will come to us from heaven ⁷⁹ to shine on those living in darkness and in the SHADOW OF DEATH, to guide our feet into the path of peace."

I won’t even attempt to give the lengthy explanations necessary for these quotations from Isaiah chapter 9, of which V1-2 are quoted above, but it’s a message to Ephraim (V8), and it includes the reference to Ephraim and Manasseh turning against Judah (V21). But if you apply all the principles we’ve been trying to teach you, you will work out the message for yourself.

God’s way is to ‘seek and you will find’ and God expects those who really hunger for His Truth to do just that. This principle is further described as ‘here a little, and there a little, line upon line, precept upon precept’. This tends to weed out the ‘tares’ who narrowly focus on a single issue usually for the purpose of destabilizing others. As far as prophecy is concerned, Peter made it very clear that it should never be generated from one’s own imagination: 2Pet 1:19-20 "And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. ²⁰ Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation. ²¹ For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." A lot of people who have repented and been baptized, and have received a down-payment or earnest of God’s Holy Spirit seem to believe they have the Spirit of Prophecy. The Spirit of Prophecy is an addition to God’s Holy Spirit, and with this addition comes the full portion. In John 14:26 this additional portion is called the Counselor, and it’s all about the Testimony of Jesus. And I can tell you this: outside of this Brotherhood I have never encountered anyone who knew what the Testimony of Jesus is, and the reason is simple. They don’t have the Spirit of Prophecy – they only think they do!

People love to play games today with God’s Word. It’s seems perfectly logical to them to try to guess the meaning of prophecy and thereby inflate their own egos. Such people never understand anything, and I can tell you this – they are playing a dangerous game! If God’s Word were easy to understand then everyone would understand it. God intended that only those who dedicated themselves with all their hearts and minds would understand. He even spoke to the prophets in different ways down through the ages, but in these last days He has spoken to us through His Son: Heb 1:1-4 "In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, ² but in these last days He has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. ³ The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful Word. After he had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. ⁴ So He became as much superior to the angels as the name He has inherited is superior to theirs." So without the Testimony of Jesus no-one can understand prophecy, and the Spirit of Prophecy is called The Counsellor – which is the Spirit of Jesus (John 14:25-26) and the full measure of God’s Holy Spirit. God will give you understanding, but only if you listen and learn from His servants the prophets. But you will never learn anything as long as you listen to those whitewashers – the ‘prophets and leaders of Israel’ who are proclaiming peace for everyone. There will be no peace!
